The mission of the CQU PRSC is to counter the sense of isolation experienced by higher degree research students through encouraging an atmosphere of collegiality at CQU and promoting a sense of membership within a community of scholars. We aim to promote intellectual and social interaction and we will work to improve the standards of services and facilities for all higher degree research students studying at CQU .

The Objectives of the PRSC shall be to:

represent postgraduate research members of the CQU Student Association (hereinafter referred to as the CQUSA);

promote the interests of, the postgraduate research community of the University to CQU, the University, CQUSA and the communities in which CQU is located;

work with the CQUSA and with the University to promote the objectives of CQUSA's Mission , Vision and Values;

promote inter-discipline academic collegiality and social contact between postgraduate research members of the CQU;

disseminate information of interest relevant to postgraduate research members of the CQU;

advocate for adequate CQU amenities and services for postgraduate research students;

develop strategies and actions to promote research opportunities within CQU;
