What
Categories of Clubs are there?
There are four categories of Clubs, they are:
An
Academic Club (A) - is one whose
objectives base the Club's activities on assisting/educating student
members within a certain Faculty/School and who may gain support
for this from a CQU department.
A
Recreational Club (R) - is one (not recognised as a sporting
club) that organises activities, events and opportunities for its
members of a recreational nature. These pursuits may be conducted
indoors or outdoors, on or off campus, or any combination of the
above.
Social/Cultural
Club (S/C) - is one whose objectives are fundamental to furthering
the social/cultural experiences of its student members whilst studying
at CQU- whether it be using the club as a support network for international
students or a social avenue for new/existing students to meet new
people.
A
Sporting Club (S) - is one whose primary objective is
to foster and encourage its member's participation into sporting
competitions and events at local, regional, state or national levels.
Only sports recognised by the Australian Sports Commission may be
affiliated as CQUSA sporting club.
