Students possessing Ordinary Membership of the CQU Student Association have an opportunity to become involved, as representatives of the student community at large, by becoming a Board Director on the CQUSA Board of Directors or by becoming a Campus Student Committee Member on one of the CQUSA Campus Student Committees.

The CQU Student Association Board of Directors has Campus Student Committees across our campus network, who assist in the promotion of the student representation and advocacy services of the organisation; act as localised Student Representatives in matters of concern to students; and to make recommendations to the CQUSA Board of Directors.

The CQU Student Association Board of Directors is the governing authority of the Student Association which assist in the further progression of the Student Association's constitutional objects, as below:
 Furthering the aims of the University: to promote interest in the life, activities and progress of the University and generally to further the aims, objects and interests of the University
Representation: to represent and advocate on behalf of students in an effective and accountable manner, working together with any other appropriate organisation.
Services:
- In conjunction with the University, to provide facilities, programs and services to enhance the education and university experience of students
- To provide opportunities for the interaction and personal development of students
- To provide charitable assistance to individual students to encourage the participation of those students in the activities of the University
To be independent of religious or political organisations and affiliations to those organisations

When casual vacant positions arise they will be advertised and listed below, with applications being sought from interested currently enrolled students possessing Ordinary Membership.
The Board Member Information package also contains the selection criteria which require to be addressed within your application.
Applications are to be received by the advertised closing date. The Committee Selection Panel (delegated by the Board) considers all applications received by the closing date, and advises the Board of their recommendations for Board members.
